The Certified Athletic Trainer at Hopedale Medical Complex is responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes, ensuring their health and well-being, and facilitating their recovery and rehabilitation after injuries or illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical coverage at athletic events, practices, and tournaments, ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, and physicians regarding athletes' playing status and ability to return to competition.
  • Assist with Coach's clinics and outreach coverage to local high schools, including public relation duties, evaluation, recognition, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
  • Develop and implement patient treatment programs, ensuring adherence to departmental guidelines and state practice act guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the athletic training team to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Athletic Training Program or Entry Level Masters.
  • BOC certification and IL AT license or eligible.
  • Approximately one to two years' experience of progressively responsible related experience necessary to gain a thorough knowledge of athletic training techniques.
Working Conditions
  • Works in all athletic type atmospheres where there may be discomforts due to dust, dirt, noise, heat, and the like.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds daily.
  • Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
  • Stand, walk, and kneel for 90% of work time.
