Job Title: Laboratory Moving Coordinator at Accelerated Moving & Storage, Inc.

This role provides an opportunity for a seasonal position during the summer or a full-time role following a successful initial period.

Position Overview

  • Tasked with collaborating with the Relocation Team to ensure the efficient transfer of various items within laboratory environments, including equipment, office supplies, chemicals, and biological materials.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and packing of laboratory materials for transport.
  • Manage the segregation and packing of hazardous materials.
  • Support the movement of laboratory apparatus, specialized items, furnishings, and computing devices.
  • Conduct inventory assessments of items scheduled for relocation.
  • Engage in loading and unloading operations, ensuring the proper monitoring of refrigeration units.
  • Operate vehicles as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in relevant training sessions tailored to staff and specific roles.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Essential Skills

  • Capability to lift over 60 lbs and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in vehicle operation, effective time management, and a self-motivated work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented with strong expense management and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; some college education preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Access to dependable transportation.
  • Professional appearance is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively overnight and maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Proven communication and customer service excellence.
  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
