Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Compunnel Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the collection of random samples from production batches, performing complex testing processes, and using sophisticated testing instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the collection of random samples from production batches and perform complex testing processes to measure product physical characteristics.
  • Use highly sophisticated and precise testing instruments and computerized record keeping to ensure accurate results.
  • Enter complete and accurate documentation of results and/or observations in SAP for record keeping.
  • Prepare and record customer submissions and maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping and 5S organization in the lab.
  • Meet or exceed agreed-upon and established goals, perform equipment calibration and testing procedures as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAPs.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform at this level within six months.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge in mathematics – basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, and measurements.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Must be able to move to all areas of the operation with the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required protective clothing including but not limited to safety shoes, safety glasses, lab coat, safety gloves.
  • Must be able to tolerate smell of chemicals used in the manufacturing and testing of our products.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
