Physician Leadership Opportunity in Annapolis Area

At Physician Empire, we are seeking a seasoned physician to lead our new ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program in the Annapolis area. As a Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and strategic implementation of this exciting program.
About the PositionThis is a half-time dedication role that requires administrative and educational activities related to the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and implementing all aspects of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program.
- Serving as the leader in the Department of Medicine on all education initiatives including UGME and CME.
- Creating and supervising research and quality improvement activities of residents and integrating these with other health system efforts.
We are looking for a proven clinician and leader with at least 5 years of experience as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program and at least 3 years of GME administrative experience. Additionally, candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine, practice in any branch of internal medicine or its subspecialties, ultimately qualify for licensure in the State of Maryland, and demonstrate scholarly interests. Ambulatory medicine internists are encouraged to apply.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $250,000 per year, which includes competitive benefits such as 403b and 457b plans.
