Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain radio communication systems, encompassing both hardware and software components.
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on radio equipment to guarantee peak performance.
  • Install, program, and configure advanced Motorola Astro radio systems.
  • Execute the installation of radio equipment in various vehicle types at customer sites and within the workshop.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Engage with clients to ascertain their communication requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to end-users.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and system configurations.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Motorola radio technology and industry standards.
Qualifications:

Summary: Under the general guidance of the service manager, you will be responsible for system design, troubleshooting, programming, and installations. You will optimize, maintain, and repair two-way and wireless communication systems, including intricate radio systems and emergency communication centers for our clients.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with two-way radio systems.
  • Understanding of radio frequency principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Motorola Solutions certifications) are advantageous, with a bonus for Astro Certification.
  • Good grasp of networking concepts.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Willingness to embrace the variability of daily tasks.
  • Capability to pass a DOT drug test and physical examination.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and utilize hand tools effectively.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
Licenses and Certifications:

An industry-recognized license (FCC GROL or CET) is required, along with a valid driver's license and insurability in the state of Washington.
