Job Title: Busser

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the dining room is clean and orderly, and that our guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized dining room environment, including tables, chairs, and floors.
  • Assist servers in bussing tables and clearing dishes.
  • Ensure that all guests and members are provided with excellent service and a positive dining experience.
  • Perform pre-shift side work to ensure success.
  • Review the menu and become thoroughly familiar with all items and preparation methods.
  • Check with the Lead line cook for any special instructions prior to the beginning of each shift.
  • Set up and clean the line, and learn and memorize all table numbers and seat numbers.
  • Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete additional training as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning and organizing as assigned.
  • Assist with the functions of other positions within the restaurant and across the resort as needed.
  • Maintain proper functioning and cleaning of equipment used in kitchen and dining room.
  • Alert management of needed product, rotate dated product, and remove expired product.
  • Understand functions of departments across resort property.
  • Articulate location of departments and services when required.
  • Provide extraordinary service that is "Enriching by Nature."
  • Embody the STRATA virtues through interactions, performance, and commitments.
  • Uphold the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club's brand, culture, vision, mission, and values.
  • Be empowered to make things go right if they go wrong.
  • Give the guest/member a fond farewell.
  • Address feedback by utilizing the LEARN Model.
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and be attentive to what matters most.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Observe and adhere to safety guidelines.

Marginal Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.
  • Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires knowledge of food and beverage items and preparation, safe handling, and service techniques.
  • Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Prior restaurant experience preferred.
  • License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: Basic food handler certification and alcohol service certification (may be provided by organization upon acceptance of position).
