Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Superintendent to lead and manage our on-site construction team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of field labor and subordinates, making work assignments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Engineers to schedule work, ensure compliance with contract specifications, and provide daily review and consultation on work methods and progress.
- Schedule subcontractor work to coincide with general contractor requirements, check performance, and optimize labor force utilization.
- Determine requirements for supplies, materials, and equipment, scheduling delivery and distribution as necessary.
- Utilize production and equipment cost information to inform project decisions.
- Maintain open communication with contracting agency representatives regarding project performance.
- Ensure the profitability and productivity of project operations.
- Attend pre-job meetings with supervisory staff and foremen to emphasize the importance of production, quality, and cost.
- Maintain a safe and fair working environment.
- Assist with project documentation and preparation of final closeout reports.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in construction, with 5 years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity.
- Familiarity with EM requirements and experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Ability to interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation: $110,000 per year.
