Oahu Superintendent

The Oahu Superintendent (Heavy Division) is responsible for leading and managing the on-site construction team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining orderliness on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage field labor and subordinates, making work assignments and ensuring project schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Project Engineers to schedule work, check compliance with contract specifications, and provide technical supervision in specialty areas.
- Schedule subcontractor work, check performance, and ensure optimum labor utilization.
- Determine supply, material, and equipment requirements, scheduling delivery and distribution.
- Monitor production and equipment costs, maintaining a profitable project operation.
- Communicate effectively with contracting agency representatives regarding project performance.
- Ensure a safe and fair working environment.
- Assist with project documentation and final closeout report preparation.
Requirements:
- 10 years' construction experience, with at least 5 years as a superintendent on similar projects.
- Familiarity with EM requirements and experience in hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Ability to interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Utility experience preferred, specifically waterlines.
