Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Engineer to join our team at Scientific Research Corporation. As a member of our NS IPT/CND Engineering Team, you will provide engineering support for the Platform Boundary Defense group, focusing on network security, support, installation, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and test Windows/RHEL systems
  • Configure and test Active Directory domains
  • Troubleshoot custom Windows applications, backup solutions, patching solutions, and configuration management solutions
  • Create Engineering Changes to support the lifecycle, including engineering documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum five years of experience in a relevant technical field, including technology analysis and assessment, design definition, and systems architecture
  • Experience in designing and securing Windows systems, preferably in Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, and/or Active Directory
  • Experience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure Windows systems
  • DoD IAT Level II certifications, such as CSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP, or CISSP
  • Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD) is highly encouraged
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Knowledge of CND ashore and afloat systems
  • Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables
  • Knowledge of systems engineering activities and process improvement approaches
  • Proven experience in system administration on DoD-deployed systems
