Key Responsibilities- Compounds and prepares medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Delivers medications to patient areas and returns unused medications to the pharmacy.
- Documents pharmaceutical activities, including patient billing and quality control requirements.
- Responds to customer requests for assistance with pharmacy services.
- Operates and supports automated dispensing technology.
- Orders, receives, and restocks inventory, and completes expiration date management.
- Contributes to process improvement projects.
- Completes regulatory compliance inspections of medication storage areas.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active pharmacy technician registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
- Pharmacy technician certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) within 24 months of hire.
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
