Job Title: Rotating Equipment Technician

Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of rotating equipment, including machinery, pumps, and compressors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in identifying key success factors, timing of procurement deliverables, and establishing common work breakdown structures.
  • Provide leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and execute Millwright services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.
  • Evaluate Millwright service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on to go scope.
  • Take ownership of the Millwright craft schedule and develop short-term look-ahead schedules for the Foreman in alignment with the execution plan.
  • Review and monitor cost and man-hour budget for installation process and develop a staff facilities equipment and tool requirement plan.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of maintenance strategy and analysis techniques, such as reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Strong rotating equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, using tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and laser alignment.
  • Experience in machinery rotor balancing, using equipment such as balancing machines, soft foot correction tools, and dial indicators.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety procedures, and best practices for rotating equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Certification or license from a recognized professional organization, such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), or the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP).
  • Level II or III Vibration Analyst Certification (VCAT2 or VCAT3) from the Vibration Institute.
  • Level II or III Lubrication Analyst Certification (LCAT2 or LCAT3) from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML).
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) from the SMRP.
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) from OPITO.
  • Enhanced Competency Requirements (ECR) from the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
