Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic After School Program Coordinator to lead our youth development initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about engaging elementary-aged children in enriching after-school activities.

Work Schedule:

This position is part-time, requiring approximately 25 hours per week, with hours typically scheduled from 2 PM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16 to $18, commensurate with experience. Part-time employees are eligible for various benefits, including:

Key Responsibilities:

The After School Program Coordinator will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the after-school program at designated sites.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing standards.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Foster positive interactions among staff, students, and parents.
  • Plan and implement engaging, student-centered activities focused on outdoor education, social-emotional learning, and S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math).
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including parents and school faculty.
  • Supervise and mentor program staff.

Qualifications:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA credential or an Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children and youth.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is required.
