Water Resources Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Analyst to join our team at the Turlock Irrigation District. As a key member of our Water Resources Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of office and field work, including preparing water resources reports and analyses, gathering and managing water data, and developing programs to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Assist in the preparation of water resources studies, including water quality related issues, irrigation efficiency, and water planning.
• Draft reports and recommend policies and practices for review by senior management.
• Prepare and monitor department budgets.
• Perform economic and feasibility studies.
• Maintain effective communication and coordination of projects with supervisor and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relating to water operations.
• Supervise and develop staff, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
• Represent the District in the community and at public and professional meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, agricultural sciences, or related field.
• Five years of increasing responsibility in water resources, engineering, water quality, or related field.
• Strong project management skills and ability to perform technical work of a complex nature.
• Knowledge of District policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical reports and data.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
