Position Summary:
We are in search of skilled individuals to become part of the Foster Farms family. While we offer the resources of a large organization, we maintain a close-knit, family-oriented environment. Over half of our positions are filled through internal promotions, encouraging our employees to explore diverse roles across various departments.

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
(An additional $1.00 per hour for shifts worked between 7:00 PM and 11:59 PM. An additional $2.00 per hour for shifts worked between 12:00 AM and 4:59 AM.)

Work Schedule:
Day Shift

  • Support the daily operations of the ranch, including feeding, mortality management, equipment maintenance, and sanitation tasks.
  • Contribute to the grow-out program, ensuring that ranch setup, brooding, temperature control, ventilation, mortality management, vaccination, and medication protocols are upheld to the highest standards.
  • Assist in coordinating feed deliveries, maintaining accurate inventories of feed and fuel, and ensuring proper growth methodologies.
  • Help maintain facilities and equipment for optimal functionality and appearance.
  • Learn and assist in upholding sanitation standards and disease prevention measures.
  • Maintain a vigilant awareness of industrial safety, animal welfare, and bio-security protocols, reporting any issues directly to the Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with live poultry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in an agricultural environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and handle water hoses throughout the workday.
  • Adherence to bio-security and safety policies and procedures is essential.
  • Must not own any poultry or fowl.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
