Job Summary

Aim High Equipment Rentals is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Yard Technician to join our team. As a Yard Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment rental yard, including prepping the yard for start and close of business, loading and unloading equipment, and performing basic repair and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare the yard for start and close of business, including cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies.
  • Equipment Loading and Unloading: Load and unload equipment from trucks and trailers, and communicate rental details with Inside Sales.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic repair and maintenance tasks on equipment, including pressure washing, greasing, and lubricating.
  • Yard Appearance: Assist in maintaining the appearance and arrangement of equipment in the yard.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Background Check: Pass a thorough background check, including a review of driving records and a check for any criminal history.
  • Training and Certifications: Complete training and certification programs for forklift operation, aerial work platform (AWP) operation, and propane handling.
  • Safety Focus: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Additional Qualifications
  • Teamwork and Communication: Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform tasks such as walking, bending, and reaching.
