We are seeking a seasoned Reliability Engineering Manager to join our global Reliability Operations team at The Trade Desk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our platform services.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response Engineering: Define, manage, and measure incident response engineering practices to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Team Leadership: Liaise with engineering teams to prioritize work discovered during incident response and manage a global Reliability Operations team (3 to 6+ Reliability operations engineers across regions).
- Global Coverage: Periodically meet with reports across timezones and ensure weekend coverage requirements are met.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university or relevant substitute experience, 6+ years relevant work experience in Technical and/or Application Support with strong knowledge of technical troubleshooting, and 2-5 years of management experience with direct reports.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of large-scale distributed system architectures, familiarity with monitoring tools, and ability to author scripts to facilitate troubleshooting and configure alerts.
- Soft Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage incidents based on severity, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively with stakeholders during an incident.
As a Reliability Engineering Manager at The Trade Desk, you will be part of a dynamic team that values operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
