Industrial Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our Safety and Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct noise monitoring and air quality assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Evaluate workplace task biomechanics to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for reducing the risk of injury.
- Develop and implement education programs to promote safe work practices and provide coaching and feedback to employees.
- Collaborate with the Industrial Hygiene team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
- Perform spot inspections of hazardous materials inventories and update Safety Data Sheets as necessary.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with a focus on industrial hygiene.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
