Job Summary:The Registered Respiratory Therapist will administer respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. This includes performing diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders.
Responsibilities:- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
- Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment, such as masks, tents, and incubators.
- Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
- Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- BLS healthcare provider within 30 days.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge, offering a full range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
