We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Tech to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups, and passing instruments and equipment as needed.
- Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique.
- Use the physician preference card to identify supplies and equipment needed for procedures, updating the card as necessary.
- Set up sterile tables, prepare solutions and medications, and provide supplies and equipment to the surgical team.
- Perform counts with the circulator prior to the operation, before incision is closed, and as needed.
- Deliver surgical specimens and cultures to the circulating nurse, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with terminal cleaning of the operating room, putting equipment and supplies away, and prepping the room for the next patient.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
- Current certification as a Surgical Tech (CST) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
