Lead Teacher for Early Childhood Education

Position: Early Childhood Lead Teacher
Sign-On Bonus: $500
This is a full-time position, with the bonus distributed in two installments after specific employment milestones.
Wee Care Child Development Center is a licensed facility looking for Lead Teachers to join our team.
Age Groups: Toddlers and School-Aged Children
To qualify for the Lead Teacher role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field AND a minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
- Associate's degree + 30 credit hours in early childhood education or a related field AND at least 3 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Bachelor's degree + 30 credit hours in early childhood education or a related field AND a minimum of 1 year of experience
Required Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Part-Time Hours: 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Full-Time Hours: Based on the needs of the center
Compensation: $16-$18 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience (plus a $500 sign-on bonus)

Hiring Process Overview:
- Resume Review
- Initial Phone Interview with Recruiter (30 minutes)
- In-Person Interview with Center Director
- Offer of Employment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans that are age-appropriate and prepare them one week in advance using current educational resources.
- Execute lesson plans and curriculum weekly, covering all developmental areas while adhering to the classroom schedule.
- Build professional relationships with families to ensure quality care for children.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, addressing their emotional needs and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Maintain assessments and portfolios for each child and conduct biannual parent-teacher conferences.
- Physically engage with children, including sitting, standing, walking, and climbing as necessary.
- Meet all physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Fulfill daily classroom responsibilities related to child care.
