Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in a Pennsylvania school district. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with special needs, creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with other educators to ensure student success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with special needs
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the educational process
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education

Requirements:

• Credentials in Pennsylvania as a Special Education teacher
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in special education
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
