Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel assignment in Norfolk, Virginia, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and 8-hour evening shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
  • Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to ensure accurate images
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and maintain accurate patient records
  • Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
