Position Overview

SUMMARY: This role is essential for executing various kitchen sanitation and storage tasks, including the washing of dishes and cookware, maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness, and organizing food and non-food inventory.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes dishwashing equipment to effectively cleanse and sanitize all dining ware, utensils, glassware, and cooking tools.
  • Ensures a clean, hygienic, and organized environment in food service areas by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing surfaces, as well as sanitizing dishwashing machines.
  • Establishes and maintains designated areas for dish and pot washing.
  • Conducts cleaning of production equipment as required or instructed by supervisory personnel.
  • Adheres to and surpasses standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Implements daily and weekly cleaning protocols.
  • Follows all safety and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Participates in mandatory training sessions as needed.
  • Documents and maintains records for service standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitors and records dish machine temperatures and sanitizer levels manually.
  • Records temperatures and sanitizer levels for pot and pan sinks manually.
  • Assists in the receipt of food and non-food inventory.
  • Performs additional related tasks as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background, or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of prior experience in a similar role.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of the residents.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form; capable of addressing issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in working with a senior demographic.
  • Interacts courteously and amicably with guests, residents, and staff.
