Job Overview

The Human Resources Administration (HRA) of the Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial and Performance Management Officer to join its leadership team. This key role will play a vital part in shaping the financial strategy and performance management for DSS-HRA-DHS.

Salary: $185,000 - $210,000 per year

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide executive oversight and management of the agencies' multi-billion-dollar budget, formulating financial management goals and priorities. They will also be responsible for providing ongoing counsel and advice on all financial and budgetary matters to the Commissioner and executive leadership team. Additionally, the Chief will advocate with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on behalf of DSS-HRA-DHS.

This role involves managing and overseeing planning, management, and coordination for all divisions within the Chief's portfolio, ensuring efficient and effective management of daily operations. The Chief will interpret financial and programmatic policies and regulations for staff, ensuring seamless implementation into operational programs. Collaboration with the Chief People Officer (CPO) is essential for managing personnel and temporary services budgets, as well as working closely with vendors and other public, private, and community agencies.
