Job Title: Housekeeper (Full Time)

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hospital facilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties to maintain the hospital's cleanliness and orderliness. This includes making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by being attentive to their needs and providing a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies to ensure a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Empty and clean trash containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
  • Make up beds and change linens as required to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Respond to guest queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to team efforts by being a team player and exhibiting professionalism with patients, visitors, and staff.
