Position: Avionics and Electronics Specialist
Employment Type: Full-time; Contract
Location: Wichita, KS
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
- Follow General Work Requirements diligently.
- Conduct inspections, adjustments, repairs, and component replacements, addressing malfunctions with or without power applied to the aircraft.
- Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in compliance with relevant technical data and FAA/JAA regulations.
- Access and reinstall aircraft components that may hinder the performance of assigned tasks.
- Execute basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
- Document all work performed according to the Inspections Procedures Manual (IPM).
- Work on aircraft and in workshop environments.
- Carry out additional tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials and methods, as well as loading and securing ballast and/or freight as necessary.
- Collaborate with technical representatives, laboratory personnel, and others to resolve system or component issues.
- Fabricate parts and wire harnesses, installing them according to engineering specifications.
- Assist in repairs of components detached from the aircraft, including flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
- Support complex repairs at both on-site and off-site locations.
- Assist with engine removal and installation tasks.
- Contribute to the development of installations for engineering purposes.
- Help with fueling and defueling of aircraft as required.
- Possesses 1 year of aircraft electrical/mechanical experience or 2 years of electrical avionics technical schooling with certification or equivalent military/vendor training (preferred).
- Capable of reading and interpreting engineering documents and repair manuals.
Pay Range: $28.38 to $42.57 per hour
