Job Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacist will work under the supervision of the Director/Manager of Pharmacy, overseeing the compounding, packaging, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals according to prescription physician orders or floor stock requests. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge and skills, with the ability to assess patient profiles, review medication orders, and provide current drug information.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and perform compounding, packaging, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
  • Review and validate medication orders
  • Monitor patient profiles to ensure appropriate dosage and therapy
  • Provide current drug information
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and students
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a school of pharmacy
  • Licensed or eligible as a pharmacist in the State of Virginia
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • PGY1 residency completion preferred
