We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast's Freestanding Emergency Department. As a key member of our emergency care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients
- Meet the Standards of Practice for the Emergency Department and manage all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment
- Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care
- Routinely provide triage assessment for patients presenting for treatment
- Routinely perform venipunctures for obtaining specimens for lab tests
- Routinely provide intervention in emergency, life-threatening situations
- Assume the responsibility of charging the department, as needed
- Current Texas Licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course (PALS) and Certification or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 3 months
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 3 months
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training within 3 months
- Two years' experience in Emergency Services (ER) (ED) (FSED)
