Quality and Process Engineer

As a Quality & Process Engineer at GE Vernova, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and consistency of our production line. This includes overseeing the daily operations of our plants, managing service shops, and impacting departmental operations. You will be responsible for planning and executing activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for tracking and trending quality defects, leading projects to reduce or eliminate defects, and maintaining quality assurance and control of products, manufacturing processes, and sourced components.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop quality planning for each customer unit
- Document and resolve quality defects
- Track and trend quality defects, and lead projects to reduce or eliminate
- Maintain quality assurance and control of products, manufacturing processes, and sourced components
- Be accountable for cell quality KPIs (severe events, escapes, and CoPQ), and develop strategies for improvement
- Provide quality updates at cell QMRs and reviews
- Participate in root cause investigations and develop corrective and preventative actions for identified quality issues
- Perform internal audits, document and resolve audit findings, and represent the cell during ISO 9001 and AS 9100 audits
- Act as a liaison between the factory and sourcing, engineering, and customer representatives to quickly resolve quality issues
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality position or relevant military experience)
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing quality role
- Desired characteristics: Bachelor's degree in engineering, strong understanding of QMS, ISO 9001, and AS 9100 standards
