About the Opportunity

This part-time Dining Room Line Attendant role offers an excellent chance to work in a dynamic environment while providing exceptional service to students and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering meals in a timely and clean manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food service lines for meals according to the daily menu.
  • Replenish food and dishes as needed during meal service.
  • Notify cooks when food items are running low on the service line.
  • Restock drinks, utensils, and condiments as needed.
  • Clean and prepare dining and service areas.
  • Wipe table tops and chairs using a damp cloth.
  • Clean and polish glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment, such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
  • Assist cooks as needed on the grill.

Working Conditions:

This role requires moderate physical activity, with general movement throughout the day. Occasionally, you may need to work after hours or weekends. Please note that the AM shift operates three days a week from 6:30 am to 3 pm, while the PM Shift works three to five days a week from 4 pm to 8:30 pm. Availability every other weekend is also required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in food services is preferred.
  • Good listening skills are essential.
  • The ability to multitask and be a good team player is crucial.
  • You should be in good physical condition.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Successful completion of a nationwide background check is mandatory.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $25,000 - $35,000, based on industry standards and the location in Madison, VA.
