Position Overview:

This role involves the assessment and underwriting of new and renewal insurance policies within a dynamic call center environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for approving policy modifications, managing workloads, and ensuring compliance with established company protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

The following outlines the primary functions of this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

  • Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal insurance applications.
  • Achieve or surpass production targets set by the organization.
  • Authorize or decline endorsement quote requests in line with internal and corporate policies.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and agents.
  • Promote the company’s products and services effectively.
  • Guide support personnel in managing cancellation and non-renewal notifications according to company standards.
  • Analyze inspection reports and verify conditions presented during the quoting and binding process, taking appropriate actions as needed.
  • Maintain necessary licensure to conduct business operations.

  • Capability to identify emerging trends in the insurance sector and integrate them into strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with commercial multi-line underwriting and rating processes.
  • Proficiency in using company software, including Windows, Word, Excel, and TAPSYS.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies.
  • Discretion in decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to staying informed about industry developments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong telephone communication skills and professional etiquette.
  • Flexibility to travel as required by the company.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance certification.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in the production and marketing of new accounts.
