We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Store Team Member at Academy Sports + Outdoors. As a Store Team Member, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a fast and friendly shopping experience, and contributing to the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and making recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including merchandise displays and stockroom areas.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and stock levels are maintained.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive business results.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or prior retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 pounds, and move merchandise as needed.
