Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist as necessary.
  • Properly identify and assist patients, preparing them for procedures with a full explanation and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing additional images as instructed.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, informing nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition and initiating life support measures as necessary.
  • Operate radiology computer systems to enter orders and charge procedures/supplies, documenting contrast administration in the MAR.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire.
  • Current CPR certification.
Physical Requirements

This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies, as well as occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation.
