Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Agricultural Laborer to join our team at GIII Harvesting. As a key member of our farm crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to crop and greenhouse management, including detasseling, rouging, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detasseling: Remove tassels from seed corn stalks to improve seed quality.
  • Rouging: Hand-sort rogue ears of corn to ensure high-quality seed.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate farm equipment, including tractors, forklifts, and field trucks.
  • Field Maintenance: Maintain fields by installing and repairing irrigation systems, weeding, and performing other miscellaneous tasks.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and light mechanical work on farm and field equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced farm environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed outdoors in a farm environment.
  • Exposure to weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
  • Physical demands of the job may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
