We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities-Best Place. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residents, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Patrol Facilities: Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as fires, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
- Monitor Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, including the issuance of security access cards and the management of key boxes.
- Conduct Investigations: Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents, and prepare reports as necessary.
- Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain Security Equipment: Maintain and repair security equipment, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Security Experience: A minimum of six months of security experience is required, preferably in a healthcare or retirement community setting.
- First Aid Certification: First aid certification is required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to Work Independently: The ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment is required.
The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds. The Security Officer will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
