We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Associate to join our team in the Office of Research, Innovation & Economic Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced financial duties in maintaining accounting and personnel records, as well as assisting the CFP Business Manager with fiscal administration.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in yearly budget preparation for the Core Facilities Program, developing and compiling data, and reviewing expense projections for accuracy.
- Generate reports and assist the Business Manager with budget forecasting during the year and for end of year closeout.
- Work closely with the Business Manager to prepare core facility rate proposals, compile expense and revenue data, and review all core lab submitted data for accuracy.
- Handle day-to-day financial operations for the Core Facilities Program, including initiating, reviewing, verifying, and certifying purchase orders, invoices, internal transfer vouchers, and deposits in IRIS/DASH.
- Prepare periodic sales tax report data and ensure accuracy and timely completion of report data.
- Manage the Stratocore billing system, including user profiles, account numbers, rates creation, and service management.
- Perform inventory checks of all equipment and computers assigned to the department and update inventory changes in the IRIS/DASH system.
- Assist the Business Manager with personnel functions, including creating positions, processing pay funding changes, and terminations in IRIS/DASH for the Core Facilities Program.
- Associate's Degree
- Four years relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree
