The Med/Surg Tele Department at UHealth Tower is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team.
The Staff Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who prescribes, coordinates, evaluates, and delivers patient care through collaborative efforts with members of the interdisciplinary team, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care.
The Registered Nurse also plays a crucial role in directing and guiding patient and family education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate diagnostic tests to determine the patient's condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and assess patient care plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Consider patient age and cultural background during care delivery and provide necessary information regarding treatment plans.
- Foster a compassionate environment by offering psychological support.
- Conduct appropriate patient tests and safely administer medications within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate the care plan effectively to patients, families, and team members, ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize best practices for patient care transitions and assist in discharge planning.
- Plan, prioritize, and adjust assignments to achieve goals and provide exceptional patient care; seek assistance when necessary.
- Adapt to changing work demands and operate necessary medical equipment.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, safeguarding institutional assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred. RNs with an Associate's degree (ASN) must complete the BSN within two years.
- Valid Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS-CPR Certification).
- ACLS Certification.
- One year of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing.
