Job Summary

Central Pacific Bank is seeking a highly skilled Asset/Liability Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the bank's asset and liability management process, ensuring the integrity of our interest rate risk model, and providing strategic guidance to our Asset and Liability Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and review the asset and liability management process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our interest rate risk model.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the model setup, critical assumptions, and calculations within the ALM model.
  • Review and analyze reporting results in support of the ALM process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Supervise and review back tests of the model assumptions to ensure appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Asset and Liability Committee, including interest rate risk and stress test reporting.
  • Work closely with the AL Manager and Financial Planning and Analysis to plan, prepare, review, and deliver the bank's budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all ALM-related Board policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Approve monthly reconciliation reports of Treasury G/L accounts and weekly reconciliation of deposit index rates.
  • Provide support and backup on various Treasury Division functions and assist with special projects as directed by senior Treasury staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or related quantitative fields from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in a relevant field, including 4+ years of supervisory or 2+ years of management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
