Position: Post-Harvest Operations Leader
Location: Hancock, MD
Employment Type: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Post-Harvest Operations Leader will oversee our post-harvest team, providing essential direction and support. You will be responsible for supervising, managing, and inspiring team members daily. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary contact for all team members, requiring exceptional communication skills. This individual must proactively ensure seamless team operations and foster effective collaboration, leading by example to engage the team in achieving objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identify training needs and provide coaching
- Address team feedback and resolve conflicts

- Perform additional duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Ability to drive personnel towards optimal performance
- Comprehensive understanding of performance metrics
- Proficient in PC applications, particularly MS Excel
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective decision-making capabilities
- Degree in Management or relevant training in team leadership is advantageous
- Possession of a Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years
- Compliance with all legal and company regulations for the cannabis industry is mandatory
- Ability to pass a thorough background check
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capability to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for a distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Ability to work in various positions (seated/standing) for extended periods, maintain balance while climbing, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
- Comfortable handling organic materials daily and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in various environmental conditions
- Visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading and inspecting small details
- Effective verbal communication skills in moderate noise environments
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is available for this position. The role typically requires an average of 40 hours per week, with availability for after-hours emergencies.
