Job Summary

Odle Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician Instructor to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a classroom setting, preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Delivery: Deliver instruction in the Pharmacy Technician curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements and program specifications.
  • Counseling and Motivation: Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, personal and/or study habits and problems.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and prepare supplemental lessons and recommend curricula changes.
  • Individualized Instruction: Individualize the Pharmacy Technician curriculum to fit the students' choice of vocation and maintain contact with vocational counselors and instructors.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, including behavior and surroundings.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, and monthly student evaluations.
  • Staff Training: Attend required staff training sessions.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to all aspects of Odle's Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Communication and Modeling: Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills, including personal responsibility and computer fluency.
  • Accountability and Safety: Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
  • Culture and Climate: Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, providing a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
Requirements
  • Certification and Licensure: Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by a professional trade organization.
  • Education and Experience: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of required subject area, ability to transfer topical knowledge to meet specific learning objectives fluently in English, ability to compose descriptive reports, and excellent organizational skills.
