Role Overview:
As a Benefits Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with union consultants to evaluate their group benefit requirements, analyze existing offerings, and pinpoint potential opportunities for new plans or products. You will provide education to clients regarding plan structures, funding models, possible rate frameworks, and comprehensive coverage details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and achieve annual goals while continuously seeking new business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts.
- Work in close partnership with carrier affiliates and the account management team to service both new and renewal business.
- Engage in various health and welfare plans, focusing on benefits consulting and administration within the Union/Taft-Hartley sector.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all funds and benefit plans, with a concentration on pension, annuity, and retirement funds.
- Regularly interact with multiple union groups, their leaders, and members to provide information about plans and address inquiries regarding benefits, coverage, claims, etc.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of group claims experiences, focusing on reporting and data interpretation.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in benefits consulting
- Proficiency in plan design education
- Experience in evaluating funding models
- Ability to analyze rate structures
- Competence in claims experience review and analysis
Work Environment: This position is fully on-site.
