EVENSON CONCRETE SYSTEMS is actively seeking a Concrete Construction Supervisor

The Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a specific job site. This role requires the individual to support, guide, and manage all crew members on-site to ensure overall success, profitability, customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and the company’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements daily plans for each project while minimizing risks.
  • Leads the crew, supervises individual tasks, and provides assistance and direction as necessary. Assigns duties and delegates tasks based on crew members' skills.
  • Communicates all relevant information, changes, issues, and requirements for manpower, equipment, and materials to the Project Manager.
  • Ensures the quality and precision of the work performed.
  • Follows designs and specifications; reviews and adheres to plans, specifications, and materials to be utilized.
  • Schedules necessary inspections.
  • Completes daily documentation including production reports, daily logs, safety meetings, and additional tasks as they arise.
  • Coordinates material orders and deliveries to the site.
  • Understands project details and identifies challenges and opportunities for each work phase.
  • Ensures the crew has the appropriate equipment, materials, and tools for the job.
  • Complies with all safety procedures and practices to prevent injuries to self and others.
Essential Areas of Responsibility:
  1. Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and other applicable safety standards.
  2. Responsible for the efficient use of labor, equipment, materials, and other resources.
  3. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times during working hours and on job sites.
  4. Proactively communicate with the team on all matters affecting project quality, safety, resource utilization, and project timelines.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience as a Supervisor with a general contractor specializing in concrete, masonry, and carpentry for both residential and commercial projects.
  • Ability to manage performance with a high level of competency in supervising and directing concrete teams.
  • Strong understanding of current construction practices, methods, and procedures, and the ability to guide others to meet these standards.
  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL License is a plus).
  • Demonstrates personal accountability and responsibility with excellent follow-through.
  • Possesses a positive attitude, is collaborative, and adapts to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
  • Requires good stamina, vision, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to estimate size and dimensions.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, work from heights on ladders or scaffolding, and navigate throughout the job site.
  • Must be capable of efficiently operating manual and powered tools, sprayers, and construction-related equipment utilizing a full range of physical motion.
Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and challenges simultaneously.
  • Work effectively under pressure and in safety-sensitive situations in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions related to the finishing process and timing.
  • Analyze, interpret, and utilize data and technical information effectively.
Working Conditions:
  • Adhere to the time and attendance requirements as established by the Project Manager.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round.
  • Various job sites with differing conditions, from indoor to outdoor environments that may be dusty, dirty, noisy, or present work hazards.
