Senior Bridge Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Sector team at TYLin. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and broad experience in preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.

The selected candidate will provide technical support during the construction phase of projects, which could include site inspections and administration. They will also be responsible for preparing drawings for projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope in accordance with standards (i.e., AASHTO, FDOT) and department procedures.

The successful candidate will function in a supportive technical role in both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects across the state. They will also have the ability to lead multi-discipline bridge projects for public sector clients, including the Florida Turnpike Enterprise and FDOT Districts 2, 3, 5 & 8.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET). A Master's Degree would be considered a plus. They will also have 8-12+ years of structural design/management experience in bridges and specialty structures, with Design-Build experience being a plus.

The selected candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida and have high levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way. They will also have sound oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
