Key Responsibilities

  • Use knowledge and expertise to identify potential problems and/or resources for patients and families.
  • Ensure all staff maintain competency-based practice based upon patient population.
  • Utilize an ongoing process of questioning and evaluating practice and providing informed practice.
  • Develop and implement a process improvement plan for area(s) of responsibility.
  • Maintain and develop clinical knowledge, judgment, and skills.
  • Propose topics to explore and participate in nursing research.
  • Supervise unit/department personnel by evaluating work performance, providing guidance, and timely feedback based on outcome measures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of clinical and patient satisfaction initiatives, key performance indicators, standards of nursing practice, and outcomes of patient care.
  • Practice a constellation of nursing activities that are responsive to the uniqueness of the person, creating a compassionate and therapeutic environment, with the aim of promoting comfort and preventing unnecessary suffering.
Requirements
  • Three years of demonstrated clinical nursing practice, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Specialty Nursing certifications.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, and Cardiac interventional unit.
