  • Experience in developing global commodity strategies and aligning them with business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry knowledge with a solid market, technical, and procurement background in sourcing raw materials (specifically Corrugated and Flexible plastic packaging).
  • Innovative contracting strategies in fluctuating markets to ensure competitive pricing models.
  • A technical or engineering background is preferred, particularly in packaging material engineering or experience with glass and/or ceramic manufacturing.
  • Project management expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop multi-year strategic sourcing plans and objectives based on forecasts of future demand and economic trends that impact Product & Technology, the business, and global commodities sourced.
  • Analyze and provide market intelligence for assigned commodities, including supply and demand trends, pricing, shortages, and technical information to divisional procurement and business leaders, while evaluating potential supplier risks and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct negotiations with key suppliers and ensure adequate contract coverage within the portfolio, collaborating with divisional sourcing resources to comply with the Global Delegation of Authorities.
  • Monitor the implementation of strategies and maintain communication with the business team (primarily Business Unit procurement and engineering) to achieve financial targets.
