Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Facilitator to join our team at Wilkes County School District. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with exceptional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in executing instruction and evaluating its effectiveness.
  • Interact with students in an age-appropriate manner, demonstrating an understanding of each student's individual needs, abilities, and disabilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
  • Constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly in inclusive activities.
  • Motivate students and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including maintaining records and documentation.
  • Participate in staff development as directed.
Requirements
  • A 2-year degree or a minimum of 48 semester hours of college coursework.
  • WorkKeys assessments in reading, writing, and math with a bronze passing level score (level 3).
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement or willingness to obtain one.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to use a variety of equipment and classroom tools, exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and communicate effectively in Standard English.
