The Counselor Aide plays a vital role in delivering direct support to residents, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of the household while maintaining essential clinical documentation related to each resident's behavior and treatment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing and managing clients' daily household tasks, schedules, and activities, including counseling sessions and social skills development.
- Be well-versed in the individualized care plans for residents and provide necessary support according to these plans. Actively contribute to the care planning process by sharing relevant observations and insights regarding residents' needs and preferences with the clinical team.
- Encourage and monitor client participation in 12-step programs through both in-house and community meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records that reflect the residents' progress and needs.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and appropriate disposal of waste materials.
- Transport clients to various appointments and social events as needed.
