  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with infection control, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to ensure seamless care and minimize the risk of infection transmission.
  • Education and Training: Develop and deliver education and training programs to healthcare professionals on infection control best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient safety and infection control.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Two years of recent health care experience, including one year of clinical infection control experience.
  • Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
