Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors Inc. is seeking a skilled CDL A Local Reefer Driver to join our team in Portland, OR. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality protein products and other foods to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Unload product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart/pallet jack, and place in designated customer storage areas.
- Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
- Operate a newer International truck with automatic transmission and cameras.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid CDL A license.
- Must have a minimum of 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience with a clean driving record.
- No DUI/DWIs in the last 5 years.
- Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
- Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen.
- Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within an hour and a half or 70 miles of Portland, OR or be willing to relocate for this position.
