We are seeking a skilled CDL A Local Reefer Driver to join our team at Drive My Way. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality protein products and other foods to our customers across the region.

Compensation:

  • We offer a competitive hourly rate of $31.50 - $31.93, with overtime pay at time and a half after 40 hours a week. Our drivers typically average 50 hours a week.
  • In addition to your hourly rate, you will also receive stop, layover, detention, and other pay, including referral bonuses up to $1,000.
  • Our drivers are paid weekly via direct deposit or check.

Home Time, Route, & Schedule:

  • Our drivers enjoy home time every night, with routes that leave from our warehouse in Portland, OR.
  • Our drivers work Monday through Saturday, with day shifts starting between 1am-6am depending on the schedule.
  • Our drivers are responsible for unloading product from trailers, by hand or using hand carts/pallet jacks, and placing it in designated customer storage areas.

Equipment:

  • We operate newer International trucks with automatic transmissions and cameras.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a CDL A license.
  • Must have a minimum of 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience with a clean driving record.
  • No DUI/DWIs in the last 5 years.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen.
  • Hiring radius: drivers must live within an hour and a half or 70 miles of Portland, OR, or be willing to relocate for this position.
